very nice F40C you got there. there and 614 are the last two six wheel locomotives in passenager service in the USA.

When was this taken? Is this unit still in service?

The F40C is, in my honest opinion, a better-looking machine than the F40PH...longer, with a cooler-looking nose and windshield.

this past new years if i recall correctly and at last check there were two of them still in service, though for how much longer i'm not sure.
